ELK CITY, OK - At a campaign rally in Elk City today, Chip Keating’s campaign for governor announced Farmers and Ranchers for Keating, a statewide coalition of agricultural producers, landowners, and rural community leaders united behind Chip’s Oklahoma First agenda.
Spencer Smith, a cotton producer from Beckham County and chairman of Farmers and Ranchers for Keating, said, “We need a governor who'll go to bat for us, and Chip Keating is the candidate we trust to put farmers first. Chip’s proven he'll fight for Oklahoma, and we're proud to fight for him on June 16.”
Founding members of the coalition include:
Newley Hutchison
Alan Jett
Monte Tucker
Alisen Anderson
Mike Schulz
Dillon Johnson
Scooter Park
Rocky Andresen
John J. Kane
Keating, who built his career in Oklahoma's oil and gas industry after serving as a Highway Patrol trooper, has pledged to support farmers and ranchers through an Oklahoma First agenda. As Governor, Keating will strengthen landowner rights, stop foreign adversaries from buying our land, cut anti-ag regulations and taxes, and trust ag producers to steward the land without government interference.
"We have incredible industry leaders in Oklahoma who’ve work hard to support agriculture, but our career politicians have put our producers last,” said Keating. "I will be the governor who puts our farmers and ranchers first. I couldn't be more grateful for the coalition we've built and to champion common sense, conservative policies for Oklahoma agriculture.”
