Today, the Oil and Gas Workers Association (OGWA) announced their endorsement of Chip Keating for Governor of Oklahoma.

“I’m honored to have the endorsement of the Oil and Gas Workers Association,” said Keating. “As Oklahoma Governor, we’ll dominate oil and gas again and partner withPresident Trump to usher in a new era of American energy independence. I know this industry and how to unleash it, and I’ll always put working Oklahomans first.”
Matt Coday, the President and Founder of the Oil and Gas Workers Association, said:“Chip Keating is hands down the best candidate for governor. He doesn't just talk about oil and gas. Chip and his family have hands-on experience working in our industry. Chip will bring oil and gas companies, jobs, and revenue back toOklahoma. There is no one more experienced and better prepared to lead the energy revolution that powers the resurgence of the great Sooner State than Chip Keating.”
The endorsement comes at a pivotal moment for Oklahoma’s energy sector. In recent weeks, longtime Oklahoma-based companies Devon Energy and ExpandEnergy (formerly Chesapeake Energy) announced plans to relocate their headquarters out of state, raising concerns about the state’s competitiveness, policies, and future as an energy leader.
Keating recently unveiled a proposal to establish a National Laboratory in Oklahoma to anchor energy investment, strengthen national security, and ensure Oklahoma remains a leader in American energy dominance.
Early in his career, Keating worked at Chesapeake Energy and later built his career as an oil and gas businessman. The Oil and Gas Workers Association emphasized that Keating’s background, combined with his commitment to American energy independence and Oklahoma workers, makes him uniquely qualified to lead the state forward.
