The National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO) announced its endorsement today of Chip Keating for Governor of Oklahoma. NAPO represents more than 1,000 police units and associations, and more than 250,000 sworn law enforcement officers nationwide, making them the strongest unified voice for law enforcement in the country.
“I'm honored to have NAPO's endorsement in this race,” said Keating. “Public safety in Oklahoma is persona
l to me, and it will be personal to me as governor. As a state trooper, I stood between Oklahoma families and the people who would do them harm. The first order of government is to keep her people safe, and as governor, that will always be my first priority. Oklahoma's law enforcement officers will always have a partner in me, and I will never stop fighting for them."
Keating, a former Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper and Oklahoma’s public safety secretary, has built much of his campaign around a commitment to law and order, public safety, and law enforcement.
The President of the National Association of Police Organizations, Michael McHale, wrote in part: “NAPO is pleased to support your campaign and is confident you will continue your strong support for the law enforcement community as Governor.”
